ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Alachua County 4-H members are collecting stamps to donate to Habitat for Humanity in Florida. Volunteers package the stamps to sell to collectors. The funds raised are used to help build homes. So far, two homes have been built from funds raised from collected stamps.

If you are like many people, who save interesting stamps, but don't ever do anything with them, or have used stamps taking up space in drawers and would like to donate them, you can mail them to the 4-H Office at 2800 NE 39th Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32609. If you cut the cancelled stamps (not metered stamps) from the envelopes, leave at least 1/4 inch of paper around the stamps.

For more information, please contact Matt Benge at mbenge@alachuacounty.us or call 352-955-2402.
