Florida Master Naturalist Program

ALACHUA COUNTY - The Alachua County Cooperative Extension office is sponsoring The Florida Master Naturalist Program. This program consists of 11 classes that will begin on November 17, 2008 and continue through December 15, 2008.  Participants must attend all 11 classes in order to receive the certificate of completion. 

All classes (except for the field trips) will be held at the at the Alachua County Cooperative Extension Office, 2800 NE 39 Avenue, Gainesville, under the instruction of Barton Wilder, Agriculture & Natural Resources Agent. Topics include general ecology, habitats, vegetation types, wildlife and conservation issues of Upland Habitats in Florida (Hardwood Forests, Pinelands, Scrub, Dry Prairie, Rangelands) and Urban green spaces.
