ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - A "Precautionary Boil Water Notice" has been issued for the residents of Arredondo Estates Subdivision in Gainesville, FL.  A water main break resulting in loss of pressure has occurred therefore, as a precaution,  all water used for drinking, cooking, making of ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes should be boiled.  A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.  As an alternative bottled water may be used.

This "Precautionary Boil Water Notice" will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.

For more information, contact the Alachua County Health Department and ask for Anthony Dennis or Todd Harris at 352-334-7930.
