ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Beginning the week of January 7, 2008, The Alachua County Victim Services and Rape Crisis Center will be offering a special Survivors of Rape Writing Support Group for adult women survivors of rape. The support group includes an introduction to a variety of writing activities designed to explore issues related to healing. Members will select pieces for publication in an anthology for a free offering to the community. This is a creative opportunity to educate the public, reach out to other survivors, and help one's self through the written word. There is no charge to participants. All needed materials provided. There is space for ten survivors in the group, and dates and times of meetings will be determined according to members' needs.
