Erosion and Sedimentation Control Refresher Workshop

 ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Environmental Protection Department and the Gainesville Clean Water Partnership will present an Erosion and Sedimentation Control Refresher Workshop on Thursday August 23, 2007 at the Alachua County Health Department Auditorium, 224 SE 24th Street, Gainesville, FL 32641.

 The workshop itinerary:

 SESSION 1: Erosion and Sedimentation Control for the Regulated Community

 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Registration, coffee, and time with the vendors

 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. Erosion and Sedimentation Control Compliance in Alachua County.

Presenter: Stacie Greco, Senior Environmental Specialist, Alachua County Environmental Protection

 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 a.m.  The Reality of Erosion and Sedimentation Control: BMP application, installation, and maintenance.

Presenter: Eddie Snell, Environmental Specialist, Reedy Creek Improvement District

12:00 a.m. - 1:30 a.m.  Free lunch for participants from Newberry Backyard BBQ sponsored by the Gainesville Clean Water Partnership.  Optional vendor presentations

SESSION 2: E&S for the Regulators

1:30 - 4:30   Erosion and Sedimentation Control Inspections: How to fit Erosion and Sedimentation Control into your schedule, SWPPP review, NPDES Permit Requirements, and Inspection Basics
