ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – The Alachua County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday March 19, 2014, at 6 p.m. The Alachua County Development Review Committee will meet on Thursday March 20, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. Both meetings are in room 209 of the County Administration Building located at 12 SE 1st Street downtown Gainesville.

Items for the Planning Commission

CPA-02-14 is a request to amend the future land use designation of a parcel from Low Density Residential (1-4 dwelling units per acre) to Commercial. The property is located at the intersection of Newberry Rd. and NW 122nd St. and is approximately 2.16 acres. This application is in conjunction with ZOM-01-14, a rezoning request. 

ZOM-01-14 is a request to rezone from RE-1 (low density single-family residential) to BR (retail sales and services) on approximately 2.16 acres located at the intersection of Newberry Rd. and NW 122nd St.  If approved, the rezoning would allow for a variety of medium-intensity commercial uses..

ZOS-01-14 is a request for a special use permit to allow construction of a single-family residence (and uses accessory to it) in a bald eagle nesting zone (between 330-660 feet from an identified bald eagle nest).  It is also located within the Idylwild/Serenola Special Area Study.  The application is for parcels which together are approximately 25.06 acres.

Revised Final Development Plan and Replat Review for Cheney Walk Estates Phase II – replat to change front setback to 40’ on approximately 1.08 acres located at 1103 SW 107th Drive.

Preliminary Development Plan Review - Archer Farms Planned Development  - 4 lot rural subdivision including agricultural events arena on approximately 45 acres located at 16525 SW 5th Place.

Revised Final Development Plan and Replat Review and Minor Change to Planned Development – Longleaf Planned Development, Unit IV, Phase VIII - Lot 520 - replat to correct setback encroachment on approximately 0.14 acre located at 7965 SW 82nd Drive.
