NW 16th Ave Project

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Alachua County Public Works is informing citizens that a change has been made on the 16th Ave Mill and Resurface Project.  Contingent upon favorable weather, the contractor plans to begin milling and resurfacing the asphalt pavement the week of February 17, 2014. Motorist should expect nighttime lane closures (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) from NW 58th Blvd to NW 13th St throughout the end of March.  Public Works also encourages motorists to stay informed about this project by visiting the project report sheet.

Click to view the project report (PDF). This document will be updated monthly and changes/new information will highlighted in red.

In addition to previously mentioned daytime and nighttime lane closures, in early March, the corridor will be reduced to one lane in each direction from approximately NW 31st Drive to NW 26th Way so water main relocation, gravity wall replacement, and reconstruction work (clay removal) can begin.

The current estimated completion date for the entire project is November, 2014.
