ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Alachua County Animal Services, in partnership with No More Homeless Pets and The Wagmore Foundation, are holding the "Feline Frenzy and Canine Crazy" adoption event through the month of July, 2013. The month-long event is at the Alachua County Animal Services Headquarter (3400 NE 53rd Ave, Gainesville), Tuesday through Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

During the month, the Wagmore Foundation (through No More Homeless Pets) is sponsoring the spay/neuter services of 50 dogs and 50 cats. These animals are available for adoption free of charge.

Separate from the animals above, there are also animals that have already been spay/neutered available for adoption.  The cost is $30 for dogs and $25 for cats (discounted rates for senior citizens and challenged animals are available).  View fees.

All animals adopted from either group are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, have flea and tick treatments, and are micro-chipped.

According to Animal Services Director, Vernon Sawyer, “It's kitten and puppy season – the time when there is the greatest need to help our four legged friends in Alachua County find their forever homes.”
