ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – As part of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, Alachua County Victim Services and Rape Crisis Center and other local victim service providers are presenting the “Victims’ Assistance Academy,” on Thursday, April 25, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The academy will be held in the Jack Durrance Auditorium (Room 209), in the Alachua County Administration Building (12 SE 1st Street, Gainesville).
Topics covered in the two hour presentation include: victims’ rights, compensation, notification, and restitution. Victim service providers will be available to answer participant questions.
