ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Crisis Center invites residents to a Community Forum about Survivors of Suicide today, Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 6 p.m. at the Alachua County Health Department Auditorium (224 SE 24th Street, Gainesville). The event is sponsored by Friend of the Crisis Center, and is free and open to the public.
This event features Thomas Brown and Zak Chipps from Rise Phoenix. Both Brown and Chipps have lost siblings to suicide and are biking across the country to raise awareness about suicide. They will speak about their journey. Information will be given about local efforts in suicide prevention and services for survivors of suicide in Alachua County.
