County Extension Office Offers Florida Yards & Neighborhoods Training Series

ALACHUA COUNTY - The Alachua County Extension Office is offering two gardening classes in October and November.  These Florida Yards & Neighborhoods Training classes are for those interested in learning how to create a Florida friendly yard.  Participants will learn how to make correct plant choices for low maintenance landscapes and save water.
The classes are scheduled at the Alachua County Extension Office, located at 2800 NE 39th Ave. at the following times:
  • Friday, October 27th     3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, November 29th        6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
The program is free.  Participants receive a free book and a free plant list.
