ALACHUA COUNTY - The Urban Village Subcommittee of the Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the County Administration Building, Room 209, 12 SE 1st St., Gainesville, FL. The Subcommittee will consider the work program to implement the Urban Village Action Plan for the geographic area generally bound by SW 34th Street on the east, Hogtown Creek on the north and west, and SW 24th Avenue on the south. Interested public is invited to participate.
Kristen Nowicki, Associate Planner for the Alachua County Department of Growth Management commented, "The Urban Village project is an exciting effort involving the County, City of Gainesville and The University of Florida. We are looking forward to property owners in the study area, as well all interested Alachua County citizens, participating in the process."
