Animal Services' "Adoptathon"

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Alachua County Animal Services is having a "Summer Lovin' Adoptathon," on Saturday July 17, 2010 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Animal Services Headquarters (3400 NE 53rd Ave., Gainesville). This event is hosted by the Student Chapter of the Association of Shelter Veterinarians (aka "Shelter Medicine Club") of UF's College of Veterinary Medicine.

Puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats will be available for reduced prices. Cats are $33 (or 2 for $40) and dogs are $45 (or 2 for $60).  The first 10 adoptions are $5. All adoptions include spay/neuter, deworming, microchipping, free bag of Purina food and "goodie bag."

Events include: face painting, crafting kitten toys, paw print/hand print with your new pet, and KISS 105.3 FM will provide entertainment. Prizes will be raffled, and food will be provided.
