November Agriculture & Natural Resources Program

The UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office is pleased to announce the following Agriculture & Natural Resources Program for November 2017. This program is being offered by Dr. Kevin Korus, Agriculture & Natural Resources Agent.

Fall Pond Workshop Series – November 14, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. (additional workshop series date from September 21st class that was canceled with a rescheduled date TBA), at the University of Florida Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (7922 N.W. 71st Street, Gainesville).

The Fall Pond Workshop Series will cover different topics for each of the scheduled dates. The November 14th workshop covers aquatic weed management (identification of common aquatic plants, control methods) and selecting desirable pond plants. Dr. Stephen Enloe and Dr. Kevin Korus will conduct this workshop. A large variety of live aquatic plants will be on display and used as part of this program.  Attendees should bring live samples of their problem plants. Presenters will stay after each program to answer questions that were not addressed and a variety of handouts will be available.

Pre-registration is required. The cost is $6.00 (includes light refreshments). Participants must register online. There are no refunds for registration costs.
