6-26-18 Commission Regular Meeting

The Alachua County Commission will conduct their Regular Meeting on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. The meeting begins at 9 a.m., in the Jack Durrance Auditorium (Room 209), located on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville). The Regular Public Hearing is canceled.

  • Environmental Protection Advisory Committee appointment
  • Library Board of Trustees appointment 
  • Three Minute Local History presentation by the Alachua County Historical Commission 
  • FY2018-2021 18-69 RFP Community Agency Partnership Program (CAPP) Grant Review Committee funding recommendations
  • Amended resolution in support of NeXtGen Biologics, Inc. for participation in the Qualified Target Industry (QTI) Program 
  • Santa Fe River and Silver Springs Basin Management Action Plans 
  • Request to waive anti-indemnification policy and approve Family Medical Leave Act agreement with The Standard 
  • Public Hearing on Ordinance creating Chapter 82, Sale of Firearms in the Alachua County Code

There are two public comment opportunities during the Regular Meeting, which enable citizens to speak to items, not on the agenda. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting. It will be available to view live on Cox Channel 12, Facebook Live, and on the County’s Video on Demand website.

Free parking is available for citizens attending this meeting in the S.W. Parking Garage (105 S.W. 3rd Street, Gainesville). Tell the attendant you are going to the meeting, and parking will be free.
