2-26-19 Commission Regular Meeting, Public Hearing, and Attorney-Client Litigation Strategy Session

​The Alachua County Commission will conduct the Regular Meeting, and the Public Hearing on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. The Regular Meeting begins at 9 a.m., and the Public Hearing begins at 5 p.m. Both meetings are in the Jack Durrance Auditorium (Room 209), located on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).

The County Commission will recess at 1 p.m. for an attorney-client litigation session. Learn more about this session.

  • Approval of a Proclamation declaring February 23, 2019, as "Menagerie in Motion Day" in Alachua County, Florida 
  • Economic Development Advisory Committee appointments 
  • Appointments to the Alachua County Historical Commission and extension of sunset date 
  • Appointment of Code Enforcement Special Magistrate 
  • Regional Transit System Advisory Board Appointments 
  • Appointment of Library Board of Trustees Member - Alachua County Representative - term ending March 31, 2022 
  • Wild Spaces Public Places Oversight Board requests for repayment from the City of Gainesville for specified expenditures 
  • Strike Out Hunger Food Drive and Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway presentation 
  • 1 p.m. – Recess the Regular Meeting in order to hold a closed-to-the public attorney-client litigation session
  • Proposed revisions to the Alachua County Water Quality Code 
  • Fire Chief Confirmation - Harold Theus
