Alachua County Emergency Management actively tracks tropical storms in the area that is west of 60 degrees west longitude (Leeward Islands area) and south of 35 degrees north latitude (Cape Hatteras area) and would update the website as appropriate. Storms outside this area are monitored but are not added to the tracking website.
