5-16-18 Planning Commission and 5-17-18 Development Review Committee Items

The Alachua County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at 6 p.m. The Alachua County Development Review Committee will meet on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. Both meetings will be held in the Jack Durrance Auditorium (room 209) on the second floor of the County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).

Items for the Planning Commission

ZOM-04-18 (Rezoning) – This is a request by eda, Inc., agent, for Robinshore, Inc., owner, to rezone from ‘A’ (Agriculture) district to ‘R-1a’ (Single Family Residential) district on approximately 3.8 acres with a Future Land Use designation of Low-Density Residential (1-4 dwelling units per acre). The rezoning will allow single family residential development on the property consistent with the Alachua County Code. ZOM-05-18 (Security Mini Storage Planned Development) – This is a request by CHW, Inc., agent, for Imperial Distributors of Florida, Inc., owners, for a Planned Development rezoning from BW (Wholesale and Warehousing) to PD (Planned Development). The site is approximately 9.45 acres, has a future land use designation of Commercial, and is located on tax parcel numbers 07219-001-000 and 07222-001-000. The PD, if approved, will allow expansion of an existing warehouse use near the junction of US 441 and Williston Road. ZOS-02-17 (Special Use Permit) – This is a request by Shutts & Bowen, LLP, agent, for Argos Cement, LLC, owner, and Verizon Wireless, applicant, for a Special Use Permit to allow a 199’ monopole Personal Wireless Service Facility (PWSF) on a parcel in an A (Agriculture) zoning district with a Rural/Agriculture future land use designation (1 dwelling unit per 5 acres). The site is a 100’ x 100’ leased area within a parcel approximately 38 acres and is located at the southeast corner of N.W. 234th Street and N.W. 50th Lane, in the area of Newberry, Florida on tax parcel number 01811-000-000. The Commons at Celebration Pointe – This Public Hearing is to consider a Final Development Plan for approximately 37,500 sq. ft. of non-residential uses and four story 100 room hotel on approximately 15.99 acres located at 4306 S.W. Oakmont Planned Development Phase 3, Unit 1a – This Public Hearing is to consider a Minor Development Plan for revisions to landscape plan and stockpile location on approximately 104.72 acres located in the 12100 block of S.W. 24th Road. Second Morningstar Missionary Baptist Church Building Addition – This Public Hearing is to consider a Minor Development Plan for an approximately 1,183 sq. ft. church building addition and associated infrastructure on approximately 2.41 acres located at 3205 N.W. 51st Street.
