3-13-18 Commission Regular Meeting and Public Hearing

The Alachua County Commission will conduct their Regular Meeting, and their Regular Public Hearing on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. The Regular Meeting begins at 9 a.m., and the Public Hearing begins at 5 p.m. Both meetings are in the Jack Durrance Auditorium (Room 209), located on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).

4. Approve appointments to the Arts Council of Alachua County (ACAC)
5. Three Minute Local History presentation by the Alachua County Historical Commission
6. Program presentation by Sheriff Sadie Darnell
7. Linchpin Award
9. FFY (Federal Fiscal Year) 2016 Florida Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) award agreement
10. Request confirmation of Heather Akpan, as Human Resources Director
11. Recognize unanticipated revenue and sign the agreement for Newnans Lake Improvement Initiative Phase II
12. Notification letter to Florida Department of Economic Opportunity on Evaluation & Appraisal and Update of Alachua County Comprehensive Plan
13. Selection of two community members to serve on Alachua County Public Schools' School Planning Advisory Committee (SPAC)

There are four public comment opportunities during the Regular/Public Hearing Meetings, which enable citizens to speak to items, not on the agenda. The public is encouraged to attend the meetings. They will be available to view live on Cox Channel 12, and on the County’s Video on Demand website.

Free parking is available for citizens attending these meetings. Please park in the S.W. Parking Garage (105 S.W. 3rd Street, Gainesville) and bring your parking stub to the Alachua County Manager's Office, located on the second floor of the County Administration Building, to receive a chaser validation ticket.
