One of Alachua County’s values is diversity. To accomplish greater diversity, the Alachua County Commission has committed resources to increase the number of qualified minorities and women applying for advertised position vacancies; thereby increasing the likelihood of hiring candidates who are underrepresented in the general county government workforce. This workforce is comprised of diverse and dedicated employees who enjoy working for Alachua County government for various reasons. Listen to a few tell you why.
