On July 25, 2000 the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) approved
Ordinance 00-13 enabling the
creation of the Land Conservation Board (LCB). The BoCC appoints the eleven citizens,
plus one alternate that comprise the LCB. The LCB reviews and recommends properties for acquisition through the Alachua County Forever Program to the BoCC, and provides recommendations on stewardship issues.
The LCB usually meets monthly, at 5:30 pm on the fourth Thursday of the month
at the Environmental Protection Department Conference Room A, 408 West University
Ave., Suite 106 Street, Gainesville, FL 32601. These meeting dates and locations
are subject to change. So please click here: Advisory
Boards to access meeting Agendas and Minutes, meeting documents, and
past meeting information.
The procedures governing the role of
the LCB and the operation of the Alachua County Forever Program are described in Resolution 15-106. The LCB operates under
the Board of County Commissioners Rules and Procedures. Click here: LCB By-Laws for
