The Alachua County Animal Services Department needs the help of local volunteers, people like you. We have a wide variety of opportunities available.

How Can You Help?

We need the following:

  • Animal Groomer
  • Cat Cuddler
  • Dog Walker
  • Social Skills Trainer

Our requirements to volunteer:

  1. Be at least 18 years old
  2. Have animal experience such as volunteering or working in a shelter, humane society or rescue group.
  3. Fill out an application
  4. Attend orientation class
