The Alachua County Office of Waste Alternatives offers a complimentary waste survey to help businesses learn how to produce less waste and possibly save money on their solid waste disposal costs.
During the waste survey, an Alachua County Waste Alternatives Specialist collects information on the amount and type of materials comprising the business' waste stream and assesses any existing recycling and/or waste reduction practices.
After analyzing the information collected, a report is produced and presented to the business, outlining ways to establish a recycling and waste-reduction program, or how to enhance an existing program.
