Volunteers help with a variety of activities, including:

  • performing as costumed characters
  • helping at school and community events
  • writing the volunteer newsletter
  • providing computer assistance
  • preparing goody bags for events
  • the possibilites are endless

Volunteers enrich our programs year-round. Some people have worked regularly in the office setting, preparing newsletters, record keeping, and preparing for events. Others have been our front-line volunteers, dressing in costumes and playing games with children.

There are many other ways volunteers can help our office help the environment. We are always looking for fresh ideas to help expand or improve all of our existing programs. Let's all do our part and keep the earth a beautiful place. Volunteer today to help Alachua County's Citizens Embrace Zero Waste!

Contact the Education Coordinator for more information on volunteering by phone at (352) 374-5213.
