The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners invites citizens to attend "Community Conversations". Community Conversations is a series of wide ranging discussions of ideas and realities confronting our community in light of fiscal restraints and challenges that face our County. Community Conversations began in 2009 and are conducted annually with much success.
The meetings feature a brief presentation of the County's budget and issues facing the county, followed by an interactive table-top activity, where the participant steps into the role of a commissioner in recommending service priorities. During the sessions, participants are electronically surveyed regarding opinions on a number of local issues.
