The DART - Worthless Checks (WC) provides assistance to defendants charged with the offense of "Worthless Check". The WC component works closely with the office of the State Attorney and helps to bring participant�s cases into compliance.

Population Served

Individuals charged with the offense of �Worthless Check� and/or similar related charges as determined by the State Attorney.

Eligibility

Individuals charged with the offense of �Worthless Check� and/or similar related charges as determined by the State Attorney (Includes a final screening so that appropriateness for the program can be determined).

Services Provided

Supervision activities are designed to address public safety concerns and provide structure for participant�s lives. Some services are delivered on-site while others are provided within the community.

Direct supervision and assistance to bring Worthless Check cases into compliance. This can include the monitoring of restitution, planning of future goals to meet court requirements, and other case management services.

Fees

There are no fees for the Worthless Check component. However, participants will be responsible for State Attorney fees, restitution, court costs / fines, and any additional costs that have arisen as a result of their charges.
