Christmas and New Year’s Schedules

Holiday lightsALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Other than emergency services, all Alachua County government offices will be closed on December 26, 27, 2016, and January 2, 2017, in observance of Christmas and New Year’s Holidays.

Curbside Waste Collection/Collection Centers
The observance of the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays on Sunday, December 25 and  Sunday, January 1 will not affect regular garbage and recycling collection schedules. Holiday Closures for Alachua County Solid Waste Facilities:

Administrative and Waste Collection Offices - Closed December 26, 27, and January 2
Rural Collection Centers – Regular schedule
Leveda Brown Environmental Park & Transfer Station – Regular schedule
Hazardous Waste Collection Center - Closed December 26, 27, and January 2

Animal Services

Animal Services will be closed on December 24 through December 27, and January 1 (per their regular schedule, Animal Services is also closed on January 2). All other days, offices will be open regular hours (10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday).

Clerk of the Court

The Office of the Clerk of the Court will be closed December 23, 26, and January 2. All other days, offices will be open regular hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday).

Property Appraiser

The Property Appraiser’s Office will be closed December 23, 26, and January 2. All other days, offices will be open regular hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday).

Tax Collector

The Tax Collector’s Office will be closed December 26, 27, and January 2. All other days, offices will be open regular hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday).

Supervisor of Elections

The Supervisor of Elections Office will be closed December 26, 27, and January 2. All other days, offices will be open regular hours (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday).

Health Department

The Health Department will be closed December 26, and January 2. All other days, offices will be open regular hours (Monday through Friday, hours vary depending on services needed. Please call for an appointment).
