ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Housing Finance Authority will host a meeting and workshop on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at 1 p.m. in Room 207, at the Alachua County Growth Management Department (10 S.W. 2nd Avenue, Gainesville). This is their regular monthly meeting, and will be followed by a workshop.
The workshop features two presenters including Attorney Mark Mustian of the Nabors, Giblin and Nickerson Law Firm, and Public Financial Management, Inc. Financial Advisor Jeremy Niedfeldt. The purpose of the workshop is to provide a general overview of bonds for affordable housing. Presenters will also identify potential new funding sources and housing programs for Alachua County to consider.
The Alachua County Housing Finance Authority’s mission is to stimulate the construction and rehabilitation of affordable housing in Alachua County by providing public financing that will increase the opportunities for lower income households, the elderly, and persons with disabilities to maintain decent, safe and sanitary housing.
