ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - In the wake of Hurricane Matthew, Alachua County’s Solid Waste Inspectors conducted a disaster debris assessment of the community. Based on their findings, yard waste collection will occur on its normally scheduled days this upcoming week.
There may be minimal delays in service due to the slightly elevated amounts of yard waste from the hurricane. An update will be released Monday evening informing the community of any areas scheduled for Monday collection whose services could not be completed. Collection should occur the following day for those areas.
