Animal Services is at Capacity and Offering Free Adoptions

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Alachua County Animal Services (ACAS) is currently at capacity. For this reason, ACAS is offering free pet adoptions on Saturday, April 16, 2016, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Animal Services Headquarters (3400 N.E. 53rd Ave, Gainesville). The waived adoption fees are made possible by a grant from Maddie’s Fund.

All dogs and cats available for adoption are examined, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered before leaving Animal Services.

Pet adopters must be 18 or older. Adopters must show ID with proof of current address. If there are already pets in the home, the potential adopter must show proof that owned animals are current on rabies vaccines and licensed.
