12-16-15 Planning Commission and 12-17-15 Development Review Committee Items

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – The Alachua County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at 6 p.m. The Alachua County Development Review Committee will meet on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. The Planning Commission will meet in Jack Durrance Auditorium (room 209). The Development Review Committee will meet in the Community Treasures Conference Room (on the first floor). Both meeting are in the County Administration Building (12 SE 1st Street, downtown Gainesville).

Item for the Planning Commission

CPA 06-15 - A request by County staff to amend the Rural/Agriculture policies in the County’s Comprehensive Plan to provide an exception to the density requirement (1 unit per 5 acres) for accessory dwelling units in the rural area. This will allow for homeowners in the rural area to request approval for an accessory dwelling unit on properties less than 10 acres, as is currently required. Gehman Subdivision - A public hearing to consider a Preliminary Development Plan and Waiver from the Section Line/Major Roadway Centerline Setback Requirement for a 16 lot single family residential subdivision on approximately 9.50 acres located in the 7900 block of S.W. 24th Avenue. Water and Air Research Site Modifications - A public hearing to consider a Preliminary and Final Development Plan and Floodplain Development Permit for an approximately 1,920 sq. ft. pole barn and additional parking on approximately 5.00 acres located at 6821 S.W.
