12-02-14 Special Meeting and Joint Meeting with the City of Waldo

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – The Alachua County Commission will conduct two meetings; a Special Meeting, and a Joint Meeting with the City of Waldo on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. The Special Meeting is at 10 a.m., and the Joint Meeting is at 6:30 p.m. The Special Meeting will be held in the Grace Knight Conference Room, located on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration building (12 SE 1st Street, downtown Gainesville). The Joint Meeting will be held in the Waldo Yerkes Center (14245 Cole Street, Waldo).
The Special meeting agenda items:
1. Transfer of S.P. Recycling duties
2. 2014-2015 State Legislative Program
3. Amendment 1: Water and Land Conservation
The Joint Meeting with the City of Waldo agenda items:
1. Communications bill                 
2. MSTU for Sheriff’s Department: Present to Waldo City Council what the MSTU does for the City.  The focus of the workshop is “Transportation/Economic Development.”
Citizens are encouraged to attend the meetings. The 10 a.m. meeting will be available to view live on Cox Channel 12, or on the County’s Video on Demand website.
