ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Alachua County Emergency Management is pleased to announce that it has created presences on Twitter, MySpace and Facebook. Emergency Management has expanded its communications capabilities into these social networks with the mission of providing real time online information during severe weather outbreaks, tropical weather incidents and other emergencies. The new web pages will cater to internet users and provide the opportunity to ask questions, send messages and obtain helpful information before, during and after an emergency.
Emergency Management would caution that the best source of real time weather information is NOAA Weather Alert Radios.
