Eastside Activity Center Community Meeting

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - A Community Meeting will be held on Monday, June 22, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Alachua County Health Department (224 SE 24th Street, Gainesville). This meeting is to discuss draft amendments to the Alachua County Unified Land Development Code (relating to property within the 312-acre Eastside Activity Center, located north of the intersection of Hawthorne Road and SE 43rd Street).

An updated Master Plan for the Eastside Activity Center was adopted as part of the Alachua County Comprehensive Plan in September 2008, and became effective in January 2009.  The Master Plan established new Future Land Use designations and development standards for property within the Eastside Activity Center.  Click to view the adopted Master Plan Future Land Use Map, Community Facilities Map, and related Comprehensive Plan Policies.

Draft amendments to the Alachua County Unified Land Development Code are now being developed to implement the recently updated Eastside Activity Center Master Plan.  The amendments will establish new zoning districts and development regulations for property within the Eastside Activity Center.
