ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Clerk of the Circuit Court, J.K. "Buddy" Irby invites the public to the Oath of Office Swearing in for Alachua County's newly elected officials. This will take place on January 6, 2009 at noon, in Courtroom 4a of the Family and Civil Courthouse (201. E. University Ave, Gainesville).
Officials being sworn in include: William P. Cervone (State Attorney), C. Richard Parker (Public Defender), Ed Crapo (Property Appraiser), J. K. "Buddy" Irby (Clerk of the Circuit Court), Von Fraser (Tax Collector), Pam Carpenter (Supervisor of Elections), and Sadie Darnell (Sheriff). This event will be officiated by: Hon. Frederick D. Smith, Chief Judge, Eighth Judicial Circuit.
