ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - Due to the observance of the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays on Thursday, December 25th and January 1st, residential curbside collection service for solid waste, recycling and yard trash will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week following each holiday. Monday's regular solid waste collection will not be affected by these holidays. The regular schedule for collection services will resume the week of January 5th.
The five Alachua County Rural Collection Centers will maintain regular hours of operation. The Leveda Brown Environmental Park and Transfer Station will maintain regular hours of operation except for December 25th and January 1st when they will be closed.
The Alachua County Hazardous Waste Collection Center will be closed December 25th and 26th and will reopen Saturday, December 27th from 8:00a.m. until noon.
