In March we celebrate Women's History Month by remembering and honoring the achievements of those pioneers who have made a difference and advanced the status of women. Here in Alachua County, we will celebrate Women's History Month with the airing of “Women's History Month 2006” on Cox Cable's Channel 12.
Please join the Alachua County Commissioners, as they honor five women of distinction whose contributions have made our community a better place for all: Doris Bardon, Carol Bosshardt, Laura Carmichael, Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, and Dr. Portia Taylor.
This 1/2 hour program will run on Channel 12 throughout the month of March. Initial air times are as follows:
