TS Fay Update #18 RTS Reduced Service for 8-22-08

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - On Friday, August 22, RTS will provide reduced service on city fixed routes during Tropical Storm Fay until sustained winds reach 39 miles per hour (mph). At that time, RTS buses will finish their current run and service will be suspended for the duration of the emergency. RTS provides reduced service on Routes 9, 12, 13, 16, 17, 20, 34 and 35 during University of Florida school holidays or emergency school closures. An "R" on RTS Route Schedules indicates buses that run whenever RTS reduces service on a route. 
 
There will be no service on City Fixed Route 21.  There are no changes in service on the remaining City Fixed Routes 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 15, 24, 43 and 75 will follow their regular fall 2008 weekday service schedule.
 
There will be regular ADA complementary Paratransit Service provided by MV Transportation on Friday, August 22, until sustained winds reach 35 miles per hour (mph). MV Transportation will continue to provide service for dialysis and critical care trips as long as possible during the emergency. 

Weather permitting, RTS will provide regular Later Gator Service on Friday, August 22. RTS will run a reduced Campus service on Friday, August 22.  Campus routes 120 West Circulator (Frat Row) and 125 Lakeside will run every 15 minutes. The 127 East Circulator (Sorority Row) will run every 20 minutes.  Campus routes 117 Park-n-Ride 2, 118 Park-n-Ride 1 and122 UF North/South Circulator will run every 30 minutes and the 126 UF East/West Evening Circulator will run every 40 minutes.  There will be no service on 119 Family Housing and 121 Commuter Lot. 

RTS plans to provide regular Saturday and Sunday service on August 23 and 24 and return to our regular Fall 2008 RTS city fixed route and campus service schedule on Monday, August 25.
