Reid/SWAT Present at Conference

GREENVILLE, SC - Alachua County Manager Randall H. Reid is attending an invitation only focus group on community building presented by the Anne E. Casey Foundation.  The focus group is part of the 2008 Transforming Local Government (TLG) Conference.  

In speaking of the Manager's participation, County Commissioner Cynthia Moore Chestnut said, "It is a great honor for Manager Reid to be invited to this focus group put on by the Casey Foundation.  The Casey Foundation is renowned for its support of children and families, building supportive communities, and reforming public systems."

Manager Reid is also a featured speaker at the TLG Conference.  He will speak on sustainability efforts in local governments.

Joining Manager Reid in representing Alachua County are Sustainable Workplace Action Team (SWAT) leaders Administrative Services Director Betty Baker and Grants/Contracts Administrator John Johnson.  They will join other SWAT members in presenting results of the Sustainable Workplace Action Plan (SWAP) recently formulated for Alachua County Government.
