Attention, Alachua County Homeowners

7/7/2006 1:26 PM

Alachua County is seeking applicants to participate in the Community Development Block Grant Housing Rehabilitation program to assist homeowners with repairs. This program is designed to perform general code related repairs and improvements for low and low to moderate-income homeowners. Items eligible for repair include roofs, heating systems, plumbing, electrical and other code related housing systems.

Currently, the County has funds available to assist a limited number of homeowners. In addition to being a low or very-low income household, applicants must meet certain eligibility criteria including owning the home in need of repair and residing in it as one’s primary residence.

If you would like to be considered for possible assistance, please call (352) 381-1975 and request that an application package be mailed to you. Please return or mail your completed application to:

Meridian Community Services Group, Inc.
1206 NW 22nd Avenue

Applications must be received by February 15, 2006. All applications are subject to review, ranking and approval by Alachua County. If you have any questions regarding the program, please call John Fuller, Project Manager, Meridian Community Services Group, Inc. at (352) 381-1975.
