The Transportation Plan, as part of a proposed Long Term Concurrency Management System, has been developed to address the roadway concurrency requirements in Florida Statute 163.3180 and the Alachua County Comprehensive Plan. The Long Term Concurrency Management System will also include a Capital Improvement Program that establishes the funding and time frame for the design, engineering and construction of the identified roadway projects.
The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners would like to receive comments on the proposed Transportation Plan from the general public. The ultimate goal of this process will be the adoption of a Comprehensive Plan Amendment which establishes the Long Term Concurrency Management System and identifies the roadway projects to be constructed to address roadway capacity and concurrency.
