Coop. Extension Gardening Classes

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Alachua County Cooperative Extension announces two upcoming classes:

  • Getting to Green - A class on Florida Friendly landscaping.  Attendees will learn how to take care of their landscape and yard in a way that is good for the environment.  Those interested have two classes to choose from - March 27, 2008 or April 16, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The classes will be held at the Alachua County Extension Service located at 2800 NE 39th Ave Gainesville, FL.  Please call 337-6209 to register for this free class.
     
  • Creating a Rain Garden - A class in learning how to use the low areas in your landscape to your benefit.  The class will take place at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens during the Spring Garden Festival.  The class is included with cost of admission to the festival on March 29, 2008.  The class is from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
