ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - After consultation with state and local authorities, and as a result of significant recent rainfall,  Mike Byerly, Chair of the Board County Commissioners, today declared that the local state of emergency initiated on March 13, 2009, no longer exists in Alachua County as of noon, March 30, 2009, and is hereby terminated.
