Joint Commission Meeting: Alachua County and City of Newberry

The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners is taking government to the people. The Commission is holding a series of open meetings in municipalities throughout the County.

The next meeting will be a joint meeting with the City of Newberry at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 24. The meeting will be held at the City of Newberry Commission Chamber, 25440 West Newberry Road, Newberry, FL.

The agenda for the meeting will include a discussion of:

  • Alachua County Boundary Adjustment Act
  • Alachua County MSTU Sheriff service level cost
  • Law enforcement/Fire/MSTU or assessment
  • Interlocal agreements (various)
  • Transportation Regional Impact (TRIP) discussions with Alachua, Gilchrist, and Levy counties
  • Stormwater/MSBU
  • Commission general and informal discussion

The meeting will also provide an opportunity for citizen comments and questions.
