ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – The Alachua County Planning Commission will meet on, Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at 6 p.m. The Alachua County Development Review Committee will meet on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. Both meetings are in room 209 of the County Administration Building located at 12 SE 1st Street downtown Gainesville.

Item for the Planning Commission

ZOM-10-13 is a request to rezone an approximately three acre parcel from mixed-use PD (Planned Development) district to ‘R-1a’ (Single Family Residential) district and ‘BR’ (Business Retail Sales) district.  The property has a combination of Commercial and Low-Density Residential Land Uses and is located at located at 13327 West Newberry Road on Parcel Number 04333-002-000.  The parcel is located east of Jonesville on the south side of Newberry Road and has a single family residence.  The parcel is the site of the former ‘Rose Peddler’ florists.  For more information please contact the Alachua County Growth Management Department (Jerry Brewington - Senior Planner) at 352-374-5249.
