Fire Rescue Training Center Ribbon Cutting

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – The Alachua County Commission, its Fire Rescue Department, the School Board of Alachua County, and the Professional Academies’ Magnet (PAM) at Loften High School, invite residents to the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Alachua County Fire Rescue Training Center.  The ceremony takes place at the training center, located at the PAM at Loften High School (3000 E. University Avenue, Gainesville), on October 24, 2012, at 10 a.m. and includes a brief demonstration at 11 a.m.

The training center is a direct result of cooperation between the County Commission and the School Board.  The training center provides a safe, accessible and functioning training site for use by Fire Department Employees and students at the PAM at Loften High School. It will provide interaction between career firefighters and the Fire & EMS academy students. The center will allow for emergency medical training, firefighting skills, vehicle accident preparedness, confined space training, and live fire training.
