ALACHUA COUNTY, FL – Effective May 2, 2012 the Alachua County Health Department (ACHD), located at 224 SE 24th Street Gainesville, is adding primary care and family planning clinic hours (currently available on Mon. Tues. Thurs. and Fri.) on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.
Currently, clinical services available on Wednesday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. are immunizations, foreign travel consultations, tuberculosis, epidemiology, AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) eligibility determinations and medicine pick-up, sexually transmitted disease test results and family planning triage. The addition of primary care and family planning appointments on these two Wednesdays will provide clients with additional services and options for their care.
“These changes reflect our commitment to improving access to care,” stated Paul Myers, Administrator of the ACHD. “We are confident that these additional appointment times will be well utilized by our clients.”
