4-H Open House

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - The Extension Office is pleased to announce a 4-H Open House event on Saturday, February 11, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The public is invited to Gator Skeet & Trap Club (5202 NE 46th Avenue, Gainesville) to learn about the Alachua County 4-H Shooting Sports Program.   Stop by and experience hands on activities and watch the demonstrations. The Open House is free to the public. Refreshments will be provided.

The Shooting Sports Program consists of three disciplines: Shotgun, Archery, and Air Rifle.  Beginners and experienced shooters will learn the basics of archery, shotgun safety, shooting, and trap and skeet.  (Shotgun is age 10 – 18, and Air Rifle/Archery is age 8 – 18)

 Enrollment in 4-H is not required to attend this Open House and 4-H Club Leaders will be on site to discuss volunteer opportunities for interested adults. Parental participation is encouraged.
