Oak Hall Ordinance/Special Use Permit

ALACHUA COUNTY, FL - On September 27, 2011, the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners will consider an ordinance amending Chapter 404, Article 7 Section 404.34(b) 3 of the Unified Land Development Code.  Specifically, the ordinance will amend the outdoor lighting standards for educational facilities, allowing for alternate compliance for schools that wish to upgrade existing lighting for athletic fields. 

Application ZOS-07-11 is a request by Causseaux, Hewett & Walpole, Inc, agent, and Oak Hall Private School, owner for a minor special use permit amendment to amend conditions related to lighting standards for sports facilities and parking areas in an A (agriculture) zoning district in an Institutional Land Use designation on approximately 43.41 acres located at 8009 SW 14th Avenue on Tax Parcel Numbers 06668-002-003 and 06668-002-005.  As a minor amendment to a special use permit, this zoning application requires one hearing before the Board of County Commissioners.
