ALACHUA COUNTY -- Alachua County is continuing to monitor Tropical Storm Ernesto and as part of our dedication to an informed citizenry, we have also activated the County’s local emergency information line, 3-1-1.

Currently 3-1-1 contains a recorded message about the storms progress, projected path and County preparations. In the event that the storms path nears Alachua County or the situation intensifies for the area, citizens will have the opportunity to dial 3-1-1 to get up to the minute reports, obtain shelter information, give damage reports, and seek assistance for non-life threatening requests.

For information on the 3-1-1 Local Emergency Information Number, call Alachua County 3-1-1 Program Director Susan Nelson at 338-7361.
